Our online bookkeeping option allows you use a hosted version of QuickBooks in a secure environment. You do not need to install and maintain the program on your computer. All updates are done automatically.

We partner with the leading secure QuickBooks ASP in the country. The system is comprised of two main parts. First is an accounting portal where we are able to exchange your accounting documents with you. The portal allows you to upload your scanned documents to us easily. We can also place documents for you in the portal for your easy download. The second part of other system is the accounting software itself. QuickBooks (any version) resides on the secure server and both you and BSG have access to the files. You can log-in from any Internet connected computer.

The accounting portal enables you to upload or download all of your accounting information and data over the Internet. There is no need to fax or file paper copies. You just scan in your accounting documents (invoices, statements, etc.), drag it to the upload icon and with one click, the document is available for us to use in our secure online platform. Once the file is uploaded, we are notified that a file has been uploaded.

We then process your files and you can access your financial information online from any Internet connection.

This allows us to work with any client, anywhere in the US.

The server uses 128 bit SSL security provided by GeoTrust to ensure secure and confidential client-server transactions while users are logged into their accounts. This means you can rest assured that communications (e.g. credit card numbers, bank account information, customer information) between your browser and the servers are private and secure when the SSL session is activated.

There are regular constant in-house backups of data so that it can be restored if and when needed. Recovery service and LiveVault backup is used for offsite backups in unlikely event of a total hardware failure at the Internet Data Facility.

All files are locked using Microsoft Windows security and permissions. The authentication methods for logins use the Kerberos protocol, one of the most secure and reliable protocols for authentication. Connections are firewalled and filtered to allow only permitted traffic.

Hard drive redundancy is provided in case of hard drive failures and data clustering in case of server failures. With hard drive redundancy, a second hard drive takes over if one fails. With data clustering, data is replicated to a secondary server creating two sets of live data in case one server fails.
